Review: Truweigh Digital Scales

Truweigh digital scales are one of the cheapest set of digital scales available on the market; at the same time they are also one of the best looking. But how do they perform?
The scales themselves come with a protective sleeve that fits like a glove, as an added layer or protection there is a plastic tray that clips on top of the weighing platform protecting it from damage. As with most scales if you apply to much pressure to the weighing platform, it can damage it and therefore provide in-accurate readings. The protective sleeve and plastic tray are one of key features of these scales with the superior level of protection they offer.
The scales are capable of weighing up-to 250 grams (8.81 ounces) in 0.1 gram increments. For example that means you can weigh out 3.5g perfectly. There are 4 weighing modes which is very good for the price, these are g, oz, ozt and dwt. The weighing platform is made from stainless steel and has a very clean finish to it.
A UK 1 pence piece weighs exactly 3.5 grams, a UK 2 pence piece weighs exactly 7 grams. I tested both of these on the scales and got exactly 3.5 grams and 7 grams respectively. I even tried a bag of walkers crisps and they weighed on perfectly.
The LCD display is very clear, as a finishing touch there is a rather cool blue backlight to the display, this is what makes the scales stand out from the crowd. They simply look stunning. The scales feel sturdy and strong and also come with a 2 year warranty. These really do feel, look and perform like a premium priced digital scale, I would be quite prepared to pay £40.00 for a set of these.

I just got me some of these scales and they are quality little scales. I got the silver ones and they certainly look the part and feel of higher value than they are. The blue backlight is mint too
I have seen many scales at random shops from Middlesbrough to Newcastle and these are far nicer for the same money.
I bought myself a set of these scales because they were cheap and functional. There was no way I thought they would be as good as they really are! They are perfectly accurate, weighing a 1pence coin to 3.5gram, exactly what it is meant to weigh. As well as being accurate they are a small, lightweight scale and can be easy kept in your pocket without a worry.
An excellent item, I recommend people to purchase this if they need a set of quality scales!
Amazingly they are only £19.99 and available in black and silver. A strongly recommended purchase.

pennies and two pences dont always wear 3.5g and 7g!
test it. sometimes 3.6g and 7.1g
you can get better scales for cheaper. have a look on ebay or other sites
you can get a pair of scales that wear in increments of 0.01g and are still less than £20
The variation in penny weight comes from the dirt and grime they have picked up through day to day usage. All the shiny pennys I tested were bang on.
Ive looked around on ebay, theres a fair choice but a lot of them look rather cheaply made. However I cant past judgement on them as I have never used them so it would be unfair to do so!
Any chance you might be willing to review vapes? or even better, portable vapes?
