The cross roads is a very special joint, it takes quite a lot of time to roll and can easily go wrong. However it does give you the fantastic opportunity of sucking 3 joints down a large pipe at the same time. The effects are remarkable to say the least.

Step 1
Roll a tube the length of a rizla packet and seal it in place with some tape

Step 2
Then wrap a rizla around this to make sure it is completely sealed and air tight

Step 3
Cut 2 small holes out of each side of the pipe about 3 Cm’s away from the end

Step 4
Next roll a smaller tube, that is slightly narrower and about 2/3rds the length of the other tube

Step 5
Cut two holes as large as you can in the centre of the shorter tube

Step 6
Slider the smaller tube through the holes in the bigger tube. You be able to look down each tube and see out of the end.

Step 7
Using some tape, seal the joint up completely. I went a bit overboard in the photo however.

Step 8
Roll 3 roaches that will fit into your pipes and insert them into the 3 shorter pipes.

Step 9
Now you need to wrap a rizla round each roach piece and seal it. This is VERY tricky to do, dont expect miracles here its very hard to perfect.

Step 10
Now fill each rizla tube up with your favourite legal high mix and twist the ends off to seal them. Spark up each joint while sucking through the pipe.

So you have got the small tulip joint rolling down to a T eh? Ready to step your game up another notch? This tulip is around 4 times the size of the baby one, it provides a fuller smoke that will intoxicate you like nothing else. This is not for beginners.

Step 1
Take 4 large rizlas and stick them together as per the picture below, so you have 2 wide rizlas.

Step 2
Now turn one of these 90 degrees clockwise and stick it along the edge of the other pair of rizlas. Make sure you leave the gum exposed on the right hand rizla.

Step 3
Fold the left set of rizla over to form a square, still leaving the gum exposed at the top

Step 4
Now lick the gum and fold it over to seal the top edge of the rizlas

Step 5
Now open it out to create a pouch

Step 6
Pack your favourite legal high mix into the pouch, you can put as much or as little as you want, but remember to leave some space at the top

Step 7
Roll a long roach the length of a king size rizla, this will form the stem of your tulip. Wrap and seal rizla around it as well

Step 8
Place the long roach into the middle of the pouch and pinch the rizla around it tightly

Step 9
Use a piece of thread and tie this around the neck of the tulip tightly. This will hold everything together and also create an air tight seal. I wrapped a piece of cotton thread around about 30 times for this.

Step 10
Now curl the leaves up and admire you work. Take a picture and let us see it in the comments below!

The mini-tulip truly is a show stopper, and is guaranteed to draw attention. Its fairly tricky to do and takes a little time, however its a very unique smoke. This is the little brother of the tulip

Step 1
Take two king size rizlas and stick them together longways. The blue line shows where the gum is, and the red line is where the two rizla are stuck together.

Step 2
Now fold the top right corner over to form a triangle type shape

Step 3
Now lick the gum and seal the joint, forming the triangle shape you made in the previous step. You should now have a little pocket, open it up with your fingers, a pencil or pen is also handy at this point to get into the corner

Step 4
Put the rizla’s to one side, and get a long and wide piece of card. I have used the flap from a king size rolling paper packet. Roll this into a roach, think of it as a roach on steroids.

Step 5
Now get a king size rizla and wrap this around the oversized roach and seal it.

Step 6
Now take your mix and pack it into the rizla pocket. Poke it down every now and then with the end of a cigarette to help compress the mix slightly.

Step 7
Take your roach and push it into the centre of the mix, then pinch the rizla around the roach with your fingers

Step 8
Now take some cotton and wrap it around the rizla and roach. This needs to be done tightly and wrapped thouroughlly to create an air tight seal. You could also do this with a small elastic band.

Step 9
Thats it we are nearly done, now simply turn up your leaf and its complete!

This is an extension to rolling with a single skin, and also a joint of my own creation. You will not find a reference to this anywhere else online. This joint can only be described as a little heavyweight, best of all its very easy to do.

Step 1
Roll a joint with a single skin, as per the 2nd article in this series.

Step 2
In the final step of rolling, you twist the end to seal the joint. What we want to do is keep twisting this with quite a lot of pressure, this will compress our mix further and the joint will get smaller.

Step 3
Keep twisting as in step 2, the mix will become more and more compressed. What we are aiming to do is make the joint as small as possible. The reason for this is because it still has the same amount of mix in as a normal joint, however because its smaller it can be smoked rapidly. Giving a much harder and stronger effect.


Step 4
Eventually you will end up with a small bullet like joint. You would expect the rizla to give way and rip during this process, its quite surprising how small you can make the joint.

Step 5
Now spark up and enjoy, make sure your sitting down.

So you have finally mastered rolling a joint, feel like a new challenge? A longer smoke? Then this joint is for you! This is a little more advanced than rolling a normal joint, however once your setup correctly it pretty much follows the same rolling process as a single sheeter. So what are you waiting for?

Step 1
Take two rizlas and stick them together as per the picture below. The blue lines indicate where the gum of each rizla is. The horizontal rizla is on top of the vertical rizla. Dont lick all of the gum on the vertical rizla, just enough to stick the horizontal rizla to it. You will then have an L shape.

Step 2
Fold the corner of the vertical rizla over and make a hard crease with your fingernail. Now gently lick along the crease and tear the corner off, also fold the whole thing along the horizontal line, this is shown with the yellow line below. You should end up with something similar to this-

Step 3
Now just like you would if you were rolling a single sheeter, add your roach, chosen substance (Cannabis, Salvia, Legal High etc) and tobacco or mix; remembering to keep that cone shape as you work up the joint.

Step 4
Using your thumb and index finger, pick up the joint carefully as your normally would

Step 5
Now as you normally would with a single sheeter ignoring the extra piece of paper you now have, use your thumb and index finger of each hand, gently pinch both ends of the joint. Using your 4 fingers (thumb and index of each hand) roll the paper up and down whilst applying pressure. You may also use your middle fingers behind the joint to provide more support. Try to roll the mix into a circular shape.

Step 6
Again, carry on rolling as if this was a single sheeter joint. Using your left thumb and index finger, roll the paper down so you can just see the top of the roach and mix. Now pinch with your left thumb and roll up gently, while gently rolling down with your right thumb and index finger until the rizla tucks behind the roach. Try to avoid letting go of the joint at the roach end, as it will become loose and hard to work with. If this does happen, repeat this step.

Step 7
Continue the same process as above, rolling upwards with your left thumb and index finger, while gently rolling down with your right thumb and index finger. Slowly tucking the rizla in further up the joint.

Step 8
Keep doing this until you have rolled it up slightly, all the way up to the gum, similar to the below

Step 9
Once the joint is level with the gum, lick across the gum and roll upwards with your right index finger and thumb as you would when rolling a single sheeter. If all has gone to plan you should have something similar to the below

Step 10
Now lick gently along the visible part of gum (indicated with blue line in the picture), I actually licked it like a dog in the picture below, my bad. Then roll upwards with you right thumb and index finger.

Step 11
The hard work is over, congratulations you have just rolled your first L, give yourself a pat on the back. Now for the finishing touches

Step 12
When we roll a joint, there is usually a bit of looseness to it. There are 2 ways we can fix this.

The first is by using a cigarette butt and poking it down. However personally I find this just packs the end of the joint and leaves the rest loose.

The other method, which is my preferred method is to hold the joint vertically, and almost throw it at the floor letting go at the last second so it hits a surface with a bit of a thump, repeat this a few times. You can see this better here.

Step 13
Simply twist the end off, sit back and blaze up

Rolling your first joint is a memory you will never forget, its likely you will look back at this day and think “what the hell was that I rolled”. Rolling by many is considered an art form, some people make it look easy. It isn’t!
Dont be to concerned if your joints are creased and don’t look very good. This is a very hard skill to learn and practice really does make perfect (I have had 7 years of regular practice). Dont get disheartened if people laugh at your attempts, these people should be shot as we all have to start somewhere. Also feel free to post any comments or contact me with any questions about rolling and I will try and help you.

Step 1
Place your skin (rizla) flat with the gum (shiny strip) at the top. Make your roach, and place it in the rizla. If you have decided to make a mix, skip to step 3. Place your chosen substance (Cannabis, Salvia, Legal High etc) along the centre of the skin. Notice in the picture how the mix is narrower close to the roach, and gets wider towards the end of the rizla (indicated with the red lines). This will help form the classic cone shape of your joint.

Step 2
Now sprinkle tobacco, trying to follow the same line you did with your chosen substance (Cannabis, Salvia, Legal High etc). Again notice how its narrower close to the roach, getting wider towards the end of the skin (indicated with the red lines).

Step 3
Using your thumb and index finger, pick the joint up carefully.

Step 4
Now using the thumb and index finger of each hand, gently pinch both ends of the joint. Using your 4 fingers (thumb and index of each hand) roll the paper up and down whilst applying pressure, you may also use your middle fingers behind the joint to provide more support. We are trying to roll the mix into a circular shape.

Step 5
Using your left thumb and index finger, roll the paper down so you can just see the top of the roach and mix. Now pinch with your left thumb and roll up gently, while gently rolling down with your right thumb and index finger until the rizla tucks behind the roach. Try to avoid letting go of the joint at the roach end, as it will become loose and hard to work with. If this does happen, repeat this step.

Step 6
Continue the same process as above, rolling upwards with your left thumb and index finger, while gently rolling down with your right thumb and index finger. Slowly tucking the rizla in further up the joint.

Step 7
Once it is tucked all the way to the end, you should have something similar to this

Step 8
Now move your right thumb and finger into a more vertical position (while still keeping a good grip with your left hand at the roach end). Squeeze your right thumb and index finger gently and roll down slightly and then back up more. Keep repeating this until the joint is in line with the gum. This will help keep your joint quite tight.

Step 9
Once the joint is level with the gum, lick across the gum and roll upwards with your right index finger and thumb as in step 8. If all has gone to plan you should have something similar to the below

Step 10

So you have decided to roll your first joint. There are 4 vital parts that make a spliff/joint, you will need roach, rizla, chosen substance (Cannabis, Salvia, Legal High etc) and tobacco (optional). I will recommend specific products throughout this post via affiliate links.

Roach
The roach is a piece of rolled up card you place in the end of the spliff. It has 2 purposes, the first is to make sure your lips dont come in contact with the tobacco and get a nasty tase. The second is to provide some support for the joint.

I would recommend purchasing a roach book as it makes things much easier. Take a piece of card/paper (Tip: Take a rizla packet apart and use the green card thats hidden inside) and cut a piece that is about 3cm x 1cm. Fold it a few times on one side and roll the rest of the paper around it. Hold it in shape for a few seconds, and then your done!

Rizla come in all different shapes and sizes, you can get small ones, wide ones, flavoured ones, rizla on a roll. Anything you can think of. However most people are better off starting with a standard king size rizla.

Substance Of Choice
This is the part that gets you high, some people choose to use cannabis, however this is illegal in many countrys and due to this I wouldnt recommend using it. Luckily for you though, there are some legal alternatives available. Salvia Divinorum comes strongly recommend as it gives you more of a hallucinagenic experience than cannabis. Its best to read up about the effects of the different legal high’s that are available before you purchase. Regular cannabis users have said to be shocked at the results of smoking legal high, and it being a lot better than expected.

Tobacco
Generally people mix tobacco with their joints. This has a couple of benefits. First its a more efficient way to smoke as you dont use as much of your chosen substance, secondly it generally provides a smoother smoke and isnt as harsh on the throat. Tobacco is completely optional though, you dont have to use and you could roll a ‘blunt’ with nothing but your chosen substance.
